Chapter 1

Manchester

INTRODUCING

Manchester

Every place holds a story whilst every story holds a place. For Matty White, Manchester is not only the place he calls home but also the inspiration for many creative minds. A place where old meets new, traditional red brick reflecting within the glass of modern day skyscrapers. Two different sides of the city showcasing the increased innovation and culture that is the root of this city.

How Matty is shaping his serve to the city...

A place bursting with creativity and just a little something different. A truly versatile city rooted in a different type of spirit.  Matty White isn’t narrating this as a visitor, he has been part of the Manchester community throughout his childhood and into his adult years. He can see the past, present and future all at once.

Ben Lomond and Manchester share more similarities than you would once believe. Neither believe in one perfect serve.

Roman fort remains sit beneath Victorian iron railway bridges, reflected in a canal that’s now lined with bars and apartments. Red brick Victorian warehouses give way to street art, then independent shopfronts. Nothing here was planned to match, somehow, it matches anyway.
